Who I am
My name is Ziva Renan. I received my BA in Psychology from Bar Ilan University in Israel.
After raising three children I returned to school and received my MA in Human Development at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California.
I am a Child Development Specialist who provides consultation to parents, child care providers, and preschools.
As the Child Care Director for a non-profit, state-funded program, and as a Parent Coach in private practice, I regularly provide consultation and workshops to home visitors, family child care providers and parents in the area of separation, potty training, setting limits, sibling rivalry, temper tantrums, and sleep issues.
What I do
Together, with you the parent, I help identify techniques and practical strategies to support your child's development, while also honoring your family's culture and value system. I will observe your family in your natural home environment. If necessary, I will visit your child at school or daycare and observe the environment where your child spends the day. I will help you better understand your child's behavior, your family dynamic, and whether the school helps support your child's development. I will help you strengthen your family unit, gain confidence as a parent, and address challenging and recurring behaviors.
